Try a great night out with our Village Pub Quiz Nights

An evening of brain teasing clues, trick questions and high pressure decision making, with the chance to win three Rose & Shamrock bar tabs for first, second and third place. That’s the famous Rose & Shamrock quiz nights - started way back in 1999 and still going strong today.

Each month, a strong local following sees regular teams, along with a good mix of new people, get together to enjoy themselves and (possibly) learn something new. Each team is challenged by a range of questions devised by our quiz master Paul, who scours high and low for historical facts, interesting trivia and obscure bits of music.

If you’re a visitor to the village, why not come and join us for a great evening out! Have a chat to Ian, and he’ll help you find a team to join for the evening. Ian is a friendly chap and, despite many attempts to influence the results of quiz night with bribes of his favourite tipple (Guinness), he retains all the integrity of a senior Enron executive.

When: The 1st Tuesday of the month
Starts: 8pm on the dot (teams to register by 7.45pm please)
Finishes:10pm (ish)
Entry fee: $10 (per team)

A few things to note: 

Try and keep your team down to 8 please 
No quiz in January
All money raised is donated to a local community charity
